A few words from artist Cao Thi Duoc

On October 5, 2024, I held my second solo exhibition with the theme "a quiet journey".

Exhibiting over a hundred works, oil painting material I painted from 1985 until now, time passes quickly but I still quietly live with the colors and emotions of each month and day,,, sometimes painting a girl with a fruit cart in the rain on the streets of Saigon, sometimes feeling sorry for a mother and her child making a living on a flower cart, and even I myself once picked up my child in the rain on a flooded afternoon...

I paint to express my emotions, like memories in pictures and I don't know since when, the colors over the years are like whispers to my father and mother and the memories of cai luong paintings are born again...

I record the beautiful scenes of my hometown like a dream since I was a child, I like to draw and draw what I love...

draw my son, draw the moonlit night, draw the sunset and redraw old dreams,,,

Now sitting back looking at the spiritual children that have followed me from my student days until my hair turns white, I silently thank God and Buddha for giving me the health to say what I need to record in color.
